Finland will strengthen Ukrainian air defense before winter: Stubb revealed details

Stubb stated this in an interview with “We are Ukraine”.
According to Stubb, protecting Ukrainian skies should be a top priority for Ukraine’s allies, adding that he had already discussed the issue with President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The Finnish President noted that his country will transfer to Ukraine certain critically important air defense assets that Finland still has at its disposal. However, he did not specify what kind of weapons were involved.
Stubb also emphasized the need to protect Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and provide the country with generators and diesel engines.
“We know that winter is coming. Finns and Ukrainians know something about winter,” he noted.
Separately, the Finnish president drew attention to Russia’s capabilities in the production of ballistic missiles. According to him, the allies continue to search for interceptors for Ukrainian air defense systems.
Stubb added that Patriot systems are not only in Europe, but also in the United States and the Middle East. He said allies need to work on finding ways to reinforce them in Ukraine.
It was previously reported that Ukraine received additional missiles for Patriot systems and AIM missiles, as well as confirmation of the transfer of several Crotale air defense systems along with ammunition for them.
In addition, British Prime Minister Andy Burnham said he may travel to the United States in September with other European leaders, where they plan to persuade President Donald Trump to give Ukraine access to American stockpiles of Patriot interceptor missiles.
