Fires broke out in Kerch and near military facilities after explosions

A series of explosions were heard in temporarily occupied Crimea on the night of Tuesday, June 23. After that, fires were recorded in various areas of the peninsula, and traffic on the Kerch Bridge was blocked for more than five hours.

This is reported by local Telegram channels and monitoring resources.

According to the monitoring group “Crimean Wind”, new foci of fire were recorded in the territory of the oil terminal in Kerch, which was previously under attack and continues to burn. Fires were also reported at the entrance to the city and near the village of Bagerove, where the positions of the Russian S-300 and S-400 anti-aircraft systems are located.

In addition, fires were recorded on the territory of the oil terminal in the port of Kavkaz, as well as in the area of the Pivdenna railway station in Kerch.

The Telegram channel Supernova+ reported that explosions were heard on the peninsula at night. According to it, the TES-Terminal oil product transshipment and storage complex was hit.

At the same time, the occupation authorities of Crimea have not officially commented on the information about the explosions or fires.

Against the backdrop of these events, vehicle traffic on the Kerch Bridge was closed at 11:24 p.m. on June 22. Traffic was only restored at around 5:10 a.m. on June 23.

As a reminder, on the night of June 22, drones attacked Moscow, the Moscow region, and temporarily occupied Crimea. The Russian capital announced the operation of air defense and temporary restrictions on airport operations, while Crimea reported strikes on the Tavria TPP and the building of the Russian FSB border service.
