US President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff plans to travel to Norway this week for talks on ending Russia’s war against Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is likely to join the meetings.

Reuters reports this, citing its own sources.

According to the publication’s sources, Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner was also supposed to participate in the talks. However, he fell ill and will likely join the meetings remotely.

The talks are expected to take place in Oslo. In addition to Witkoff and Zelensky, they may include Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, representatives of the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Poland, as well as delegates from the European Union and NATO.

At the same time, Witkoff plans to visit Russia, where he is expected to meet with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. According to two sources, the parties will discuss a number of issues related to Ukraine.

The publication’s interlocutors emphasized that the schedule of trips and meetings is still preliminary and may change.

As a reminder, on October 18, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a conversation with representatives of the US President Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner . The parties discussed the results of the meeting of the Ukrainian and American teams in Florida, further diplomatic steps, and air defense issues.
