Five more Ukrainians returned from the occupation: among them a baby
As part of the Bring Kids Back UA humanitarian initiative, five more Ukrainian citizens were able to leave the temporarily occupied territories. Among them are four young people and an infant.
This was announced by the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak.
“As part of the initiative of the President of Ukraine Bring Kids Back UA, we managed to rescue five more of our citizens from the temporarily occupied territories – four young people and an infant,” Yermak noted.
According to him, one of the rescued is an 18-year-old girl who spent her entire childhood and youth under occupation. She lived under constant pressure and threat, and her only support was her aunt from Kyiv, who had been waiting for many years to see her niece in free Ukraine.
Another touching story is about a young couple with a baby who were forced to live without basic conditions: light, water, and safety. Despite all the risks, they dared to escape. Together with them, the brother of one of the spouses was also evacuated.
Yermak thanked everyone who is working on the implementation of the initiative and emphasized that the fight for every Ukrainian who remains under occupation continues.
As a reminder, as part of the initiative of the President of Ukraine, Bring Kids Back UA , another group of Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied territories was rescued.
As reported, as part of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative , 12 children who had been under occupation for years were returned to Ukraine.
