Five young Ukrainians died in a road accident in Poland.
Five Ukrainian citizens died in a traffic accident near the Polish city of Brzeg.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported this, citing the Consulate General in Wroclaw.
The accident occurred on December 24 on Highway DK39. According to the consulate, the victims were Ukrainians born in 1995, 2003, 2006, 2007, and 2008.
Polish law enforcement is conducting an investigation to establish the circumstances of the accident. Ukrainian diplomats are maintaining contact with the victims’ families and cooperating with local authorities.
According to Polish police, two cars collided at an intersection on Christmas Eve. A 59-year-old resident of Brzeg, the driver of one of the vehicles, also died in the accident. The prosecutor’s office is currently refraining from commenting on the cause of the accident.
