Flight range over 2,000 kilometers: The Ministry of Defense codified the new Dovbush T40 drone

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified the domestic unmanned aviation complex “Dovbush T40”. The drone can cover a distance of over 2,000 km, stay in the air for over a day, and is designed for reconnaissance and high-precision strikes at a considerable distance.

The Dovbush T40 has a wingspan of almost 5 m and is designed for deep reconnaissance, fire control, and destruction of enemy structures, equipment, and personnel.

According to the Ministry of Defense, during the tests, the drone confirmed the declared tactical and technical characteristics. Among its features are low radar visibility, a high-performance engine with an electronic injection system, and resistance to electronic warfare means.

The Dovbush T40 can be used in two ways: as a kamikaze strike drone or for dropping ammunition.

The Ministry of Defense noted that the range of the complex is sufficient to hit targets beyond the Urals and in Siberia.

The drone was manufactured at a Ukrainian enterprise that has been producing the Dovbush T20 and Kotygoroshko UAVs since 2022. The Dovbush T40 was created based on the operating experience of the previous Dovbush T20 model.

Recall that since the beginning of 2026, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified and approved for operation in the Defense Forces of Ukraine 413 unmanned aerial systems (UAS) . Almost all of them are Ukrainian-made.
