Following a massive Russian attack in Kyiv, nearly six thousand homes were left without heating.

Following another massive Russian attack and damage to critical infrastructure in Kyiv, heating has been cut off again to nearly 6,000 homes, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

According to him, most of these houses are those that have already been connected or attempted to be connected to the heating supply twice after the preliminary shelling on January 9 and 20.

The city also experienced water supply disruptions: problems were reported on the left bank of Kyiv and, to some extent, on the right.

“Utility and energy workers are working to restore service to Kyiv residents’ homes as quickly as possible,” Klitschko emphasized.

Also on the night of January 24, Russian troops attacked Kyiv with drones. As of this morning, one person was killed and four were injured.

It was previously reported that the Cabinet of Ministers introduced additional support programs for small and medium-sized businesses in the context of the energy emergency caused by Russian shelling.

As a reminder, energy, utilities, and transport infrastructure workers involved in emergency recovery efforts will receive an additional 20,000 hryvnias in salary from the state.
