For the first time since the beginning of the war: the CEC restored the voter register
Ukraine has begun preparations for possible elections under martial law. For the first time since the start of the full-scale invasion, the Central Election Commission has resumed the work of the State Voter Register.
This is reported by David Arahamia .
According to him, the CEC adopted the relevant decision in a separate resolution, which allows for the re-establishment of interaction with citizens and authorities regarding work with the register.
Arakhamia noted that updating the State Voter Register is one of the basic conditions for holding any elections. The war significantly changed the demographic situation in the country, and these changes must be reflected in the register.
He emphasized that a significant amount of work lies ahead to update the data.
As previously reported, Dilova Stolytsia, together with New Image Groupe, launched a series of express public opinion surveys on the most discussed issues in society.
