Former Head of the State Border Service of Ukraine Deineko Will Become Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs

Former head of the State Border Service, Serhiy Deinek, was appointed advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, in addition, after a short rehabilitation, he will also become the commander of a combat unit of the State Border Service.

This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko.

According to him, taking into account the recommendations of doctors, the general needs a short recovery period after many years of service.

“I appreciate both General Deineko’s managerial experience, gained over more than 6 years as head of the State Border Service, and his combat achievements. As an advisor, I expect from him expert support, advice based on combat experience, and participation in developing solutions in the field of state border security,” Klymenko writes.

In addition, Deineko has decided to continue his military service, remaining an advisor. So, after a short rehabilitation, he will be appointed commander of a combat unit of the State Border Guard Service.

“I understand and support this desire. Moreover, I am confident that from a combat perspective, Deinek’s advice will have more practical value and will correspond to the realities of war,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized.

We will remind that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced possible personnel changes in the leadership of the State Border Service . In the near future, the Minister of Internal Affairs will present candidates to replace the head of the State Border Service.
