Prosecutors reported the suspicion to the former People’s Deputy of the VI and VIII convocations and the former deputy of the Kyiv City Council.

This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.

According to “ Ukrainian Pravda ”, this concerns former politician Oleksandr Suprunenko.

The suspect is accused of unauthorized occupation of land plots and illegal construction within the coastal protection zone.

As it was found out, he is the owner of a plot of land with an area of 0.1 hectares in Voskresensky Sady in the Dnipro district. Having decided to expand the territory, the defendant occupied adjacent land plots, which are communal property.

Without any permits, the former deputy annexed a 0.3-hectare area to his plot. In this way, he restricted access to water for other citizens.

In addition, the defendant built a one-story house with an area of 103 sq. m. on the territory without obtaining permits.

“We note that the illegally seized land plots are located within a 100-meter coastal protective strip of a large river, where any construction and installation of fences is prohibited by law,” the report says.

A pre-trial investigation is currently underway. The issue of choosing a preventive measure is also being resolved.

As a reminder, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court sentenced former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych in absentia to 15 years in prison in the case of illegal seizure of hunting grounds in Sukholuchchya.
