Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko has become President of KSE Business School.
This was announced by the President of the Kyiv School of Economics, Timofey Milovanov.
He expressed his delight at Sviridenko’s appointment and called it an important step in the business school’s development. According to Milovanov, Ukraine deserves a world-class business school, and with Sviridenko, KSE plans to implement a number of ambitious projects.
Milovanov also noted the results of the KSE in education. Specifically, he noted that the university currently ranks first in applicants’ competitive scores, with every third applicant achieving 200 points on the NMT, and every eleventh applicant participating in or winning Olympiads.
He particularly noted the KSE research institute, calling it the largest and most influential research institute in the country. Now, according to Milovanov, the school plans to focus on the further development of business education.
He also dismissed potential criticism of Sviridenko’s appointment, including accusations of her lack of academic experience or a possible conflict of interest.
“While others are looking for betrayal, we are setting an example of how a university can and should be developed during wartime,” Milovanov said.
According to him, the KSE model is about attracting the best specialists in Ukraine and providing them with the freedom to work and develop. “We’re simply building a university that Ukraine can be proud of,” he concluded.
