Former Prosecutor General Kravchenko resigned from the Prosecutor General’s Office

Former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko has resigned from the prosecutor’s office. After resigning from the position of Prosecutor General, he remained a prosecutor in the Prosecutor General’s Office.

This was reported by Suspilne with reference to the head of the information policy and communications department of the UCP, Maryana Hajovska.

According to her, after the end of the business trip, Kravchenko was supposed to return to work as a prosecutor of the UCP, but he did not begin performing his official duties.

Instead, Kravchenko himself submitted an application for dismissal from the prosecutor’s office.

The Acting Head of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Anton Kowalsky, signed the relevant order dismissing him.

Thus, after resigning from the position of Prosecutor General, Kravchenko completely left the prosecutor’s office.

The day before, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy removed Kravchenko from the post of Prosecutor General .

Before that, Kravchenko said that he had signed a notice of suspicion to NABU Director Semen Kryvonos . NABU stated that Kryvonos had not been officially served with suspicion, and called the Prosecutor General’s actions a continuation of a systemic attack on anti-corruption agencies.

Later, the Prosecutor General’s Office denied the information about reporting suspicions to the head of NABU . They reported that the corresponding marks in the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations had been canceled.

Also on September 14, it became known that Kravchenko went on a five-day business trip to Paris . The purpose of the trip was stated to be participation in a hearing of the PACE parliamentary network.
