Former Ukrainian MP Dies

Yevhen Shago, a member of parliament of the 5th and 6th convocations, has died in Ukraine. The Verkhovna Rada announced this.

Evgeny Shago worked for a long time in the government and public spheres, holding a number of responsible positions.

In particular, he was the first deputy minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and also headed the board of the United Energy Systems of Ukraine corporation.

During his time in the Verkhovna Rada, Shago was a member of the Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex and the Committee on Environmental Policy.

He also served as Secretary of the Counting Commission of the Verkhovna Rada in the 6th convocation of the Parliament.
