Four deaths in the CCC: Ombudsman named the most problematic region

The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets said that he has information about four cases of deaths of people in the premises of territorial recruitment and social support centers. According to him, the most critical situation is currently in Transcarpathia, from where the Ombudsman’s office receives the most complaints about possible violations by CCK employees.

Dmytro Lubinets stated this in an interview with Novini.LIVE.

He noted that the deaths known to his office occurred in the Kyiv region and Dnipropetrovsk region. At the same time, he also named Odesa and Lviv regions among the regions with the most complaints about the actions of CCC employees.

“According to our information, there have already been four cases where a person died. In my opinion, the person was simply killed in the premises of the CCC and the SP,” Lubinets said.

The Ombudsman also drew attention to the situation in the Zakarpattia region. According to him, the head of the regional CCC and SP there is constantly appointed only as a temporary acting head for 30 days, after which he is reappointed for the same term. Lubinets believes that this practice is the result of a legal gap.

At the same time, he emphasized that there are regions where mobilization events, according to his office, are being held with respect for human rights. The ombudsman cited Kirovohrad and Khmelnytskyi regions as examples.

“We don’t see public publicity there, we don’t see any resistance. There is automatically more trust in the employees of the CCC and the SP. Mobilization processes are automatically taking place more positively there,” Lubinets noted.

Recall that the number of complaints to the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights regarding possible violations during mobilization has increased 333 times since 2022 .

As reported, representatives of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights conducted a monitoring visit to the Ternopil district and city CCC and the SP and recorded possible violations of citizens’ rights. As a result of the intervention , five people who were not subject to mobilization were released from the CCC premises.

In addition, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets reacted to a video from Lviv, in which a serviceman from a territorial recruitment center used physical force against a woman during mobilization activities.
