The United Kingdom, France, Germany and Turkey have expressed their readiness to send a peacekeeping contingent to Ukraine after the war ends. Discussions are currently underway on funding, coordination and the formation of a unified security system.

This was reported by Advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak in an interview with “News Live” .

According to him, the organizational and security aspects of the possible deployment of the contingent remain key.

Mykhailo Podoliak emphasized that the issue of financing the future mission, as well as mechanisms for coordinating and deterring Russia within the framework of a unified security system, plays an important role.

“The question arises, who will finance everything? Who will be present to integrate everything into a single system and who will moderate the processes of deterring Russia? And then the question arises, what should be present here representatives of other countries that are interested in this, like Great Britain,” said Mykhailo Podoliak.

In response to a clarifying question regarding the participation of other states, the advisor to the Office of the President confirmed the readiness of France and Germany to join the peacekeeping mission.

“France — yes, Germany — yes,” said Mykhailo Podoliak.

He also noted that Turkey has declared its readiness to participate in a peacekeeping mission after the end of the war in Ukraine.

Earlier, UK Defense Minister John Healy said that his country is ready to send its military personnel to Ukraine , but only after peace is achieved.

As reported, former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen stated that during recent meetings in European capitals , the possibility of direct British participation in the defense of Ukraine was discussed, including the use of the full range of military assets — “from fighter jets to infantry.”

By the way, Great Britain has already identified military units that it can send to Ukraine, and is ready to quickly transfer them after a possible peace agreement is reached.
