FPV drones now on Gerber: Russia is testing a new tactic

Russia is modernizing its drone tactics in the war against Ukraine. The Gerber UAV was first used as a carrier for an FPV drone.

This was stated by Sergey “Flash” Beskrestnov, advisor to the Minister of Defense and an expert on electronic warfare and communications systems.

“Unfortunately, the drone itself has not been found. It could have been both a strike and reconnaissance drone,” Beskrestnov noted.

The expert added that it is currently unknown to what extent this case will be used further, but everyone should be warned about the enemy’s new tactics.

Recall, on January 15, the fact of Russian troops controlling a BM-35 attack drone via the Starlink system was recorded for the first time.

As reported, Russian forces have used a Shahed drone equipped with a man-portable anti-aircraft missile system (MANPADS) for the first time . This poses a new threat to Ukrainian aviation and requires increased caution during flights.
