During February, France will transfer 150 generators to Ukraine, and will also allocate 71 million euros to support the energy sector in 2026.
This was announced by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal following a meeting with French Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Investment Attraction Nicolas Faurisier.
The parties discussed further assistance to Ukraine and the restoration of energy infrastructure, which is regularly damaged by Russian attacks.
Denys Shmyhal thanked the French side for its active participation in attracting 30 billion euros in energy assistance within the framework of the European Union’s macro-financial support. According to him, 46 batches of generators, transformers, and emergency equipment that have already arrived in Ukraine are currently working to restore and stabilize the power system.
Recall that France will also make additional supplies of French aircraft, missiles for air defense systems, and aerial bombs.
As reported, French President Emmanuel Macron noted that his country strongly condemns Russian attacks on civilians and energy infrastructure.
