France will increase pressure on Russia: Macron made a tough statement

French President Emmanuel Macron condemned the Russian attack on a passenger train in the Kharkiv region and called it unacceptable.

This is evidenced by his post on the social network X.

He noted that France condemns in the strongest terms Russian attacks on civilians and energy infrastructure.

“Faced with this emergency, we are taking action. After the G7+ meeting, co-chaired by France, generators will be sent to Ukraine to help the population survive the winter,” the French leader wrote.

Macron stressed that France’s position is clear: “we will support Ukraine as long as necessary so that it can defend itself and prevent the war of aggression waged by Russia.”

In addition, he recalled that Ukraine can also count on France within the framework of the Coalition of the Willing.

“We continue to work to create conditions for a just and lasting peace that guarantees the security of Ukraine and Europe,” the post says.

“We reviewed the negotiations that began last week in Abu Dhabi. We agreed that Europeans must be fully involved in the discussions that concern them,” Macron said.

In particular, according to him, France also remains determined to increase pressure on Russia as long as it refuses to make peace.

“We are working on new sanctions at the European level and will continue our efforts to disrupt the shadow fleet,” the French president summed up.

As a reminder, French naval forces, with the support of intelligence provided by the United Kingdom, intercepted a tanker belonging to the Russian shadow fleet in the Mediterranean Sea.

By the way, French President Emmanuel Macron did not rule out the possibility of contact with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the coming weeks. He stated this in a comment to the France 2 television channel.
