France Opens Defence Arsenal to Ukraine: Kyiv Set to Produce Missiles and Rafale Fighters Under New Licences

Ukraine may receive French licenses to produce missile systems and Rafale fighter jets, according to reports. French President Emmanuel Macron reportedly announced the move following the “Coalition of the Willing” meeting in Paris.

This was reported by the Telegram channels STERNENKO and ЦАПЛИЙНКО_UKRAINE FIGHTS.

According to their data, Macron stated that France would transfer to Ukraine licenses to produce the Aster-30 anti-aircraft missiles for the SAMP/T air defense system, the AASM Hammer guided aerial bombs, and the SCALP cruise missiles.

In particular, the parties agreed to supply Ukraine with 16 French Rafale fighter jets, which are to enter service in 2028–2029.

It was previously reported that on July 13, a meeting of the “Coalition of the Willing” was held in Paris, where the allies discussed strengthening Ukraine’s air defenses. In addition, the European Union plans to adopt the 21st package of sanctions against Russia in the near future.

Ukraine and nine European countries have also formed an anti-ballistic missile coalition. The first meeting was held on July 13 in Paris with the participation of state leaders, representatives of the EU, NATO, and defense companies.
