Frankivsk Drama Theater, reenactors, musical groups and literary meetings: what was prepared for the festival “Stay Here. The Hero’s Path”

Knightly battles, medieval crafts, games, and a fortress assault will be seen by visitors to the festival “Tu Stan. The Hero’s Path”. On the literary stage – Ivan Malkovich, Vasyl Shklyar, and Yuriy Andrukhovych. And the three-day program will be complemented by performances by the Frankivsk Drama Theater, the bands VV, Ot Vinta, Maria Burmaka, Mandriv and others.

Three days. One fortress. Thousands of impressions. The festival of Ukrainian medieval culture “Tu Stan. The Hero’s Path” will take place from July 31 to August 2. This year, the organizers have prepared a rich and diverse program for festival visitors.

Traditionally, for three days, the main lawn of the reserve will be transformed into a real Middle Ages. Craft workshops, duels and assaults, a fair, lectures, demonstrations, historical experiments and many other activities. And on August 1, the main location near the rocks will be transformed into “Hutsul Wedding” by the Frankivsk Drama Theater.

Each day, the program will conclude with a performance by famous Ukrainian artists. Oleg Skrypka and the VV band, Maria Burmaka, Serhiy Fomenko and the Mandry band, Sofia Fedyna, Ruthenia, and Divni will perform on stage.

“Tustan is a real time portal to the Middle Ages. And as an artist, I absolutely need to go there from time to time to communicate and consult with knight-reenactors from all over the world, try on ancient clothes and armor, learn to wield a sword and an axe, shoot a bow, try the local food, and defend a wooden fortress with my whole family in a realistic battle. In a word, to gain a full bag of inspiration and interesting information for illustrating and writing a new book or ballad. And Tustan is also a festival drive. This year, my performance on stage falls on Air Defense Day. I plan to organize a bright flash mob with the audience with the song “Air Defense Works Here” so that the defenders of our sky feel the support of the Tustan audience,” says Yuriy Zhuravel, frontman of the Ot Vinta band.

In addition to the medieval program, there will be a literary stage and discussion platforms, where guests can meet writers, discuss with opinion leaders and public figures. Poet and publisher Ivan Malkovych organizes literary meetings with Ukrainian writers Vasyl Shklyar, Halyna Kruk, Yuriy Andrukhovych and others.

One of the founders of the “Tu Stan” festival was Andriy Parubiy. Everyone in the festival community knows him as friend Vovk. This is a Spadshchyna pseudonym that every participant in the patriotic organization of Ukrainian youth “Spadshchyna” has. By the way, the structure was created by Andriy Parubiy in the late 80s. Therefore, we dedicate the event to friend Vovk.

At the discussion panel, public figures and opinion leaders will discuss Andriy Parubiy’s path from participating in the Carpathian architectural and archaeological expedition to carrying out international work for the benefit of Ukraine.

“I really love places where our spirit and our history are felt. Tustan is just such a place of strength. It’s not for nothing that Andriy Parubiy loved these places so much, they are so valuable to us, his friends. It’s an honor for me to be part of the “Hero’s Path” festival. Come. Let’s sing together, remember, be inspired and hold on to each other. This is very important now ,emphasized People’s Artist of Ukraine, guest of the festival Maria Burmaka.

Another goal of the festival is to raise funds for the needs of the Black Swift Battalion, the 45th Artillery Brigade, the 8th Regiment of Special Operations Forces, and the 3rd Assault Battalion of the 92nd Infantry Brigade.

Don’t miss one of the brightest events of the summer! Immerse yourself in the era of victorious times with “Tu Stan. The Hero’s Path”.
