Ukrainians have already purchased 40,000 train tickets under the “3,000 km across Ukraine” program. Most often, people choose routes to frontline and border communities.

This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine – Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba.

According to him, free trips within 3,000 km operate during off-peak periods and are focused specifically on destinations with increased social need.

The most popular routes within the program were Fastiv – Konotop, Odesa – Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv and Zhmerynka – Shostka, Zaporizhzhia – Lviv, as well as Sumy – Rakhiv.

The “3000 km across Ukraine” program is part of the “Winter Support” initiative launched by Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Tickets are available through the Ukrzaliznytsia app.

The initiative aims to support residents of communities near the front line, evenly distribute passenger traffic, and use railway resources more efficiently. No additional funds from the state budget are being attracted for the implementation of the program.

In the future, the program is planned to be expanded to the entire territory of Ukraine. During off-peak periods, the railway will be able to offer up to 250,000 free seats per month.

As previously reported, citizens were reminded of the last day to submit an application for the payment of “Winter 1,000 UAH.” You can apply for assistance through Diya only until December 24, inclusive .

As a reminder, Ukrzaliznytsia has resumed passenger service between Odessa and Chisinau for the first time since 2022, providing a direct flight lasting 18 hours and 30 minutes.
