French cinema legend Brigitte Bardot has died.

Actress and model Brigitte Bardot has died in France at the age of 92.

The death of the world-famous star was reported by Le Monde and BFМ TV .

Brigitte Bardot was born in Paris in 1934. Initially, she dreamed of a career as a ballerina, but her path to film opened up after appearing on the cover of Elle magazine. At that time, she was discovered by director Marc Allegret.

In 1952, at the age of 18, Bardot made her film debut, after which she became one of the most prominent icons of French and world cinema of the 20th century.
