French Foreign Minister Arrives in Ukraine on Visit
French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot began a two-day visit to Ukraine.
He arrived at the invitation of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha and will take part in the Conference of Ukrainian Ambassadors and hold meetings with President Volodymyr Zelensky and the government to discuss France’s further support for Ukraine.
A separate topic of negotiations will be EU and French sanctions against Russia, as well as increased aid to Ukraine.
As part of his visit, Barrot will also visit the Chernobyl nuclear power plant to highlight France’s role in ensuring nuclear safety and restoring the plant after its temporary seizure by the Russians in 2022.
