FSB agent in the Air Force: Major “leaked” strategic data to the occupiers
The Security Service of Ukraine has detained an Air Force officer who was cooperating with the Russian FSB.
This was reported by the press service of the SBU.
According to the investigation, the man became an agent of the Russian special services through his ex-wife, who works for the FSB in the temporarily occupied territory of Melitopol. He passed on to the enemy information about Ukrainian aviation, including the coordinates of airfields, supply bases, and technical centers of strategic importance.
This activity was coordinated by Alexander Belodyedov, an FSB officer from the Alpha special operations department. His goal was to use the data obtained for missile and drone strikes on targets.
Ukrainian special services quickly identified the spy, documented contacts with the FSB, and took measures to secure important locations.
The major was charged with treason on charges related to martial law. He is currently in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
His ex-wife, who is in the temporarily occupied territory, was also suspected in absentia.
As a reminder, the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police detained a Russian agent who tried to eliminate a National Guard serviceman by setting up a fake meeting.
As reported, in Kharkiv, the SBU counterintelligence and the National Police prevented a second terrorist attack that could have had tragic consequences. Two people recruited by Russian special services to blow up a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were detained in the city.
