New rules for trading diesel fuel will come into effect in Russia on Tuesday, September 23. Putin is trying to contain the rapid rise in fuel prices by introducing new restrictions for exchange participants and price controls. The shortage has arisen due to systematic attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Russian oil refineries.
This is reported by Russian media, citing data from the St. Petersburg Stock Exchange.
Now a new limit has been introduced – on the number of orders from one trader. Also, restrictions have been set on price increases. Similar measures for gasoline began to operate on September 8.
Analysts admit that such a move does not solve the problem of fuel shortages, but only hides them. In August, gasoline in the Russian Federation reached a record price, then fell slightly, but already in early September prices went up again.
Previously, the Russian government extended the ban on gasoline exports until September 30. It applies to both manufacturers and retail suppliers.
As previously reported, the fuel crisis in Russia is gaining momentum . Gasoline prices are rising in several regions at once, and some gas stations are still experiencing supply disruptions. Serious delivery problems are expected in the Kaliningrad region.
Previously , the sale of AI-92 gasoline to the local population was stopped in the Kuril district of the Sakhalin region of the Russian Federation.
We remind you that the fuel shortage in the temporarily occupied Crimean peninsula is only growing: in Simferopol and a number of other cities, AI-95 has disappeared from gas stations, which is why some gas stations are forced to close. This fuel is mainly sold using coupons from companies.
