From January 1, 2026, gas payments for Ukrainians will change. The fixed price for gas itself will remain unchanged, but the fee for its delivery will increase and will be charged according to a new principle.

This was reported by relevant regulatory authorities, reports “Telegraph”.

The tariff from Naftogaz for gas will continue to be 7.96 hryvnias per cubic meter. At the same time, the state is changing the rules for paying for gas transportation.

If previously the delivery fee was calculated based on average annual consumption, then starting in the new year it will be tied to the actual volume of gas used in the previous month.

In addition, the transportation tariff itself will increase sharply – from 124.16 hryvnias to 501.97 hryvnias per thousand cubic meters.

Due to the new formula, payments will vary significantly throughout the year. In the summer, when gas is used less, the amounts on the bills will decrease. In the winter, during the active heating season, payments will increase.

For consumers without meters, the regulatory minimum volumes remain. For a gas stove, they are 39 cubic meters, for a stove with a water heater – 126 cubic meters, for heating appliances – 314 cubic meters.

Experts advise installing individual meters, as this allows you to pay only for actual consumption and avoid overpayments.

As previously reported, from October, utility tariffs for most Ukrainians will remain at the same level as the previous month. At the same time, there are several opportunities to pay less – in particular, taking advantage of preferential tariffs for electric heating or a night meter.

We remind you that until the end of 2025, tariffs for electricity, gas, heating and hot water supply in Ukraine will remain at the current level . However, their gradual increase is expected from next year.
