Gasoline by license plate number: strict restrictions introduced in the Orenburg region of the Russian Federation

In the Orenburg region of Russia, restrictions have been imposed on the sale of gasoline due to a fuel shortage. Now the ability to refuel a car will depend on the last digit of its license plate.
This was announced by the Governor of the Orenburg Region, Yevgeny Solntsev.
According to him, on August 12, drivers of cars with even last digits of license plates will be able to purchase gasoline, and on August 13, drivers with odd last digits will be able to purchase gasoline. At the same time, refueling in canisters has been banned.
Fuel sales limits have also been set. AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline will be sold in a volume of 15 to 30 liters per person. For diesel fuel, a limit of up to 60 liters will apply within settlements and up to 200 liters at gas stations located along intermunicipal, regional, and federal highways.
Solntsev said that the introduction of restrictions was related to the attack that occurred on August 11 in Orsk. Then an oil refinery was hit.
It was previously reported that in occupied Crimea, due to a fuel shortage, restrictions were also introduced on the sale of gasoline. There, a coupon system was in place for AI-95, the release of AI-92 was restricted, and the sale of gasoline in cans was banned.
