General Staff: Defense Forces are holding back the enemy onslaught in the Pokrovsky direction, fighting continues

The Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the advance of the Russian occupiers and taking measures to prevent the enemy from advancing deep into Ukrainian territory. As of now, the total number of combat clashes is 88.

This is stated in the construction of the General Staff.

Today, as a result of enemy artillery and mortar shelling, the communities of the settlements of Progress, Timofeevka, Rivne, Miropolskoye, Prokhody in Sumy Oblast; Khrenovka in Chernihiv Oblast suffered. Krasny Khutor in Chernihiv Oblast suffered an air strike by KABs.

In the Severo-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, there have been nine combat contacts since the beginning of the day. In addition, the enemy carried out 5 air strikes, dropping five guided bombs, and also carried out 40 shellings of our troops’ positions and populated areas, including one from a multiple launch rocket system.

In the South Slobozhansky direction, enemy units carried out nine attacks on the positions of our troops in the areas of Volchansk and Zelenoye, four combat clashes continue.

In the Liman direction, during the day, the army of the invader carried out 18 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian soldiers near the settlements of Novy Mir, Glushchenkovo, Grekovka, Nadezhda, Redkodub, Karpovka and Zelenaya Dolina. Five combat contacts are still ongoing.
One enemy attack was repelled by Ukrainian defenders in the Seversky direction, in the Ivano-Daryevka area.

In the Kramatorsk direction, since the beginning of this day, two combat contacts have occurred in the area of Vremenny Yar and in the direction of Stupochki.

In the Toretsk direction, the enemy tried to break through our defense in the areas of Petrovka, Aleksandro-Kalinovye, Yablonovka, Rusiny Yar and in the direction of Dilievka, Belaya Gora and Predtechinoye. The defense forces repelled ten enemy assaults, and five more combat contacts are ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, Russian invaders have made 28 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of the settlements of Poltavka, Mirnoye, Mirolyubovka, Koptevo, Luch, Lisovka, Novosergeevka and Orekhovo. The defense forces are holding back the enemy’s onslaught, the fighting continues.

In the Novopavlovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled three enemy assaults. The enemy is trying to advance in the areas of the settlements of Zaporizhzhia, Perestroika, Novosyolka and Shevchenko. Three more clashes are still ongoing.

In the Orekhov direction, the infidels carried out airstrikes on Novoandreyevka and Kamenskoye.

There are currently no recorded military clashes in Kupyansk, Gulyai-Polye, Orekhovsky and Pridneprovsky .
