General Staff report: 220 clashes took place at the front in a day
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published operational information as of 10:00 PM on December 20, 2025 regarding the Russian invasion.
In total , 220 combat clashes have taken place since the beginning of this day. Ukrainian defenders continue to resolutely repel enemy attempts to advance deep into our territory.
The Russian invaders carried out 42 air strikes, dropping 101 guided bombs. In addition, they used 1,684 kamikaze drones to destroy our troops and carried out 2,467 attacks on our military positions and settlements.
Nine attacks by Russian invaders took place in the North Slobozhansk and Kursk directions. The enemy carried out 59 attacks on the positions of our troops and settlements, four of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.
Today, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders 12 times in the South Slobozhansky direction in the areas of the settlements of Sotnytskyi Kozachok, Vovchansk, Prylipka and towards Izbitskyi and Hryhorivka. One battle is still ongoing.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy today carried out six offensive actions in the area of Stepovaya Novoselivka and towards Novaya Kruglyakivka and Pishchanye.
In the Lymansky direction, the Defense Forces repelled 13 enemy assault actions in the areas of the settlements of Ridkodub, Novoyehorivka, Novovodyanye, Zarichne, Seredne, Kolodyazi and towards the settlement of Korovyn Yar.
In the Slavyansk direction, the enemy attacked ten times near Dronivka, Siversk, Viymka, and towards Zakitne.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy tried three times to advance on the positions of our defenders near the settlements of Vasyukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, and Stupochka.
There were 18 combat clashes in the Kostyantynivka direction today. The enemy stormed the positions of Ukrainian units in the areas of the settlements of Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Yablunivka, Rusyn Yar and towards Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsky direction, since the beginning of this day, the enemy has attacked 60 times in the areas of the settlements of Nykanorivka, Shakhove, Myrnograd, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novosergiyevka, Dachne and towards Novopavlivka. In some locations, fighting continues to this day.
Today, according to preliminary data, 128 occupiers have been neutralized in this direction, 107 of whom have been irretrievably destroyed. In addition, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed a tank, an armored combat vehicle, ten units of automotive equipment, four satellite communication terminals, an electronic warfare device, and three UAVs. Our defenders also hit 13 enemy personnel shelters.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 18 attacks by invaders in the areas of the settlements of Filiya, Zelenyy Hai, Piddubne, Sosnivka, Verbovye, Stepove, Vyshneve, and Zlagoda, and another clash is still ongoing.
In the Hulyaipil direction, the aggressor tried to advance on the positions of our troops in the areas of Varvarivka, Zeleny, and Hulyaipil 13 times.
In the Orikhiv direction, our defenders repelled three attacks in the Shcherbaky area and towards Prymorske.
In the Dnieper direction, the enemy made three unsuccessful attempts to approach the positions of Ukrainian units in the direction of the Antoniv Bridge.
