General Staff report: Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 166 Russian army assaults in 24 hours

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published operational information as of 10:00 PM on April 19, 2026 regarding the Russian invasion.

In total, 166 combat clashes have occurred since the beginning of this day. The defense forces continue to stop the enemy, destroy personnel and exhaust the combat potential of the occupiers, inflicting systematic fire damage.

The enemy carried out 43 air strikes, dropped 146 guided bombs. In addition, it used 4,887 kamikaze drones to destroy the enemy and carried out 2,237 attacks on settlements and positions of our troops.

In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out 76 attacks on the positions of our troops and settlements, including six using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the South-Slobozhansk direction, the enemy stormed the positions of our units ten times in the areas of the settlements of Synelnykovo, Prylipka, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Vilcha and in the direction of Bochkovo. One clash is ongoing.

In the Kupyansk direction, our defenders successfully repelled four enemy assaults in the areas of the settlements of Kurylivka, Kolisnykivka, Kivsharivka, and Radkivka. Three more clashes are still ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled three attempts by the invaders to advance towards the settlements of Tverdokhlibovo, Drobyshevo, Lyman, Shykivka, and Hrekivka. Two clashes are still ongoing.

In the Slavyansk direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled one assault by the occupiers in the Rai-Oleksandrivka area.

In the Kramatorsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the enemy once attacked the positions of our defenders near the settlement of Holubivka.

The defense forces successfully repelled 16 enemy assaults in the Kostyantynivka direction near Kostyantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Stepanivka, Illinivka, Oleksandro-Shultynye, Novopavlivka, and Sofiivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 35 attacks. The occupiers tried to advance in the areas of the settlements of Bilytske, Rodynske, Dorozhne, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Zatyshok, Udachne, Muravka, Novopidhorodne, Molodetske, Novopavlivka, Filiya in the direction of Novooleksandrivka and Shevchenko. Two clashes are still ongoing.

According to preliminary estimates, today in this direction 123 occupiers were eliminated and 46 were wounded; eight units of enemy vehicles and three units of special equipment were destroyed, one gun and seven units of vehicles were damaged. 126 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the occupiers of the village tried to improve their position by attacking in the areas of the settlements of Oleksandrivka and Sichneve. The vicinity of the settlements of Ivanivka and Havrylivka were subjected to air strikes.

In the Hulyaipil direction, the Defense Forces successfully stopped 27 attacks by the invaders in the areas of the settlements of Varvarivka, Dobropillya, Zelene, Svyatopetrivka, Tsvitkove, Zaliznychne, Pryluky, Olenokostyantynivka and in the direction of the settlements of Verkhnia Tersa, Hulyaipilske, and Hirke. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Vozdvyzhenska, Hulyaipilske, Lyubitske, and Mykilske.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy attempted to advance in the area of the settlement of Pavlivka. In addition, the enemy launched air strikes on the areas of the settlements of Vilnyanka and Kushugum.

In the Prydniprovs’ky direction, our defenders successfully stopped three attacks towards the Antonivskyi Bridge and near the island of Bilogrudy. The settlements of Bilozerka, Chornobayvka, and Rozlyv were subjected to air strikes with guided bombs.

There were no significant changes in the situation in other areas.
