General Staff Summary: Defense Forces have repelled 135 attacks by the invaders since the beginning of the day

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published operational information as of 10:00 p.m. on April 18, 2026 regarding the Russian invasion.
In total, 135 combat clashes have taken place since the beginning of this day. Today, the enemy carried out 47 air strikes, dropped 135 guided bombs. In addition, it involved 6,140 kamikaze drones for destruction and carried out 2,553 shelling of settlements and positions of our troops.
Two combat clashes took place in the North Slobozhansky and Kursk directions; in addition, the enemy carried out one air strike, dropping one aerial bomb, and carried out 58 attacks on settlements and positions of our troops, one of which involved the use of a multiple launch rocket system.
In the South Slobozhansk direction, the enemy stormed the positions of our units three times in the areas of the settlements of Starytsia and Vovchansk.
In the Kupyansk direction, our defenders repelled three enemy assaults in the direction of Novoplatonivka and in the Pishchane area. Two clashes are still ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy advanced six times towards the settlements of Lyman, Stavky, Novosergiyevka, and in the area of the settlement of Drobysheve.
In the Slavyansk direction, the enemy attacked three times in the Yampol area and towards Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy attacked the positions of the Defense Forces four times in the areas of the settlements of Nykyforivka, Minkivka, and towards Mykolaivka.
The defense forces repelled 17 enemy assaults in the Kostyantynivka direction in the areas of the settlements of Kostyantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, Sofiivka and towards Novopavlivka and Stepanivka. One clash is ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 23 attacks. The occupiers tried to advance in the areas of the settlements of Rodynske, Myrnograd, Novooleksandrivka, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne and towards the settlements of Shevchenko, Bilytske, Novopavlivka. Two clashes are still ongoing.
According to preliminary estimates, today in this direction 72 occupiers were eliminated and 20 were wounded; seven units of automobiles and three units of special equipment, three electronic warfare means were destroyed; two artillery systems, four units of automobiles and 14 personnel shelters were damaged. 206 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the occupiers tried to improve their position six times, attacking towards Kalynivske, Verbovye, and Oleksandrovgrad. Air strikes hit Velykymykhaylivka, Kolomiytsy, Andriivka, Fedorivske, and Vovche.
In the Hulyaipil direction, there were 11 attacks by the invaders towards the settlements of Svyatopetrivka, Staroukrainka, Zaliznychne, Olenokostyantynivka, Hulyaipilske and in the area of the settlements of Varvarivka, Pryluky, Tsvitkove. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Vozdvizhivka, Nizhenka, Zirnytsia, Verkhnia Tersa, Charivne, Lyubitske, Kopany, Lisne, Trudove.
In the Orikhiv direction, the settlements of Mykilske, Yurkivka, and Zarichne were subjected to airstrikes.
In the Dnieper direction, the enemy conducted three futile attacks towards the Antoniv Bridge.
