General Staff Summary: Defense Forces Repulsed 164 Russian Army Assaults

Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian troops repelled 164 enemy attacks at the front. Russia actively used aviation, drones, and artillery, shelling Ukrainian Armed Forces positions and settlements.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 8:00 a.m. on April 9.

Yesterday, the enemy carried out 75 air strikes, dropping 250 guided bombs. In addition, it used 10,100 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,625 attacks on settlements and positions of our troops, including 107 from multiple rocket launchers.

The aggressor carried out airstrikes, in particular in the areas of the settlements of Lisne, Nove Pole, Vozdvizhivka, Pryluky, Verkhnia Tersa, Lyubitske, Hirke, Hulyaipilske, Barvinivka, Shyroke, Charivne, Veseljanka, Mykilske and Kushugum in Zaporizhia region, as well as Svarkove, Fotovyzh in Sumy region.

Over the past day, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile forces, and artillery have struck seven areas of manpower concentration and one enemy gun.

In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions over the past day, the enemy carried out one air strike using one anti-aircraft missile system, carried out 106 attacks on the positions of our troops and settlements, including six using MLRS. One clash was recorded.

In the South Slobozhansk direction, the enemy tried seven times to break through the defensive lines of our defenders in the areas of the settlements of Vovchanski Khutory, Starytsia, Krasne Pershe, Synelnykovo, Prylipka, and Lyman.

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy attacked eight times towards the settlements of Petropavlivka, Novoosinove, Kivsharivka, and Novoplatonivka.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked six times, trying to wedge into our defenses, attacking in the areas of Hrekivka, Zarechny and towards the settlements of Stavky, Dibrov, Novyi Mir and Lyman.

In the Slavyansk direction, during the past 24 hours, our defenders stopped five attempts by the occupiers to advance in the direction of Riznykivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers attacked once in the direction of Tikhonivka.

In the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 20 attacks near Kostyantynivka, Stepanivka, Novopavlivka, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, and Sofiivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 32 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Muravka, Hryshyne, Udachne, Filiya and towards the settlements of Bilytske, Novooleksandrivka, Novopidhorodne, Serhiivka.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, according to updated information, the enemy attacked seven times in the directions of the settlements of Lisne, Oleksandrovka, Novoselivka, and in the Novohrygorivka area.

In the Hulyaipil direction, there were 18 attacks by the occupiers towards the settlements of Pryluky, Dobropillya, Tsvitkove, Zaliznychne, Hulyaipilske, Olenokostyantynivka, Varvarivka, and in the areas of Myrne and Hulyaipil.

The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Orikhiv direction.

In the Dnieper direction, the enemy carried out five assault operations in the areas of Antonivskyi Bridge and Belogrudy Island.

No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
