The German Federal Prosecutor’s Office has released the indictment against Ukrainian citizen Sergei Kuznetsov, suspected of involvement in the bombing of the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines in 2022.

According to investigators, Kuznetsov, then a former Ukrainian Armed Forces officer, allegedly led a group that, on behalf of Ukrainian government agencies, organized sabotage with the aim of cutting off Russian gas supplies and depriving Russia of revenue to finance the war.

The prosecution alleges that the group transported explosives on a yacht to the Bornholm area and planted explosive devices on pipelines that were detonated on September 26, 2022.

Sergei Kuznetsov is accused of attacking civilian targets, causing an explosion, destroying structures, and obstructing the operation of public facilities.

It was previously reported that the former head of Nord Stream 2 and Putin’s friend Matthias Warnig is developing a plan to restart the Russian Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline to Europe with the support of American investors .
