Germany denies Trump’s statement on Patriot supply to Ukraine

US President Donald Trump’s statement regarding the start of the shipment of Patriot systems from Germany to Ukraine was not confirmed in Berlin.
As reported by SRF, the German Ministry of Defense stated that they knew nothing about such deliveries.
“I cannot confirm that anything is currently on the way. I am not aware of this,” a spokesman for the German Ministry of Defense commented on the situation.
Trump previously stated that Patriot missiles for air defense systems were allegedly already on their way to Ukraine from Germany. However, the German department denied this information.
It also became known that the next meeting of the Contact Group on Defense Issues of Ukraine in the “Ramstein” format is scheduled for Monday, July 21. As a representative of the ministry noted, one of the main topics of the meeting will be the acceleration of the supply of Patriot systems to Ukraine.
Recall, the day before, US President Donald Trump announced that the first batches of Patriot anti-aircraft systems have already been sent to partner countries, which will later transfer them to Ukraine.
As reported, Trump has announced his intention to supply Ukraine with Patriot air defense systems, but there is still no actual agreement on this matter . According to sources, there are promises, but no concrete agreements.
