German Foreign Minister Johann Wadeful opposed the deployment of its troops to Ukraine.
He said this on the Table.Today podcast, N-TV reports .
According to him, Germany should play a significant role in ensuring peace, but it does not plan to deploy its contingent.
The head of the foreign ministry explained that there had previously been an agreement to focus on NATO territory, so the Bundeswehr deployed a brigade in Lithuania.
“Doing this, as well as deploying troops in Ukraine, will probably be beyond our ability,” he added.
It is worth noting that the opinions of German officials are divided. In particular, there are those who advocate a harsher position towards Russia and the deployment of troops on the territory of Ukraine.

By the way, the head of the UK Ministry of Defense, John Healy, during the meeting between the American and Russian leaders, stated that London is ready to send its military to Ukraine .
