Germany will begin mass production of Gereon ground drones for Ukraine: when will the first deliveries be?

Germany is preparing to begin mass production of Gereon unmanned ground systems for Ukraine. The Ukrainian military may receive the first robotic platforms by the end of this summer.
This was reported by the German company DEUTZ.
The drones will be manufactured at a factory in Ulm. The company said that serial production should begin in the coming weeks.
The CEO of DEUTZ’s defense division, Marco Guerre, stated that the increase in production will allow for faster delivery of modern unmanned systems to Ukraine and at the same time strengthen defense cooperation in Europe.
The Gereon robotic systems are being developed by German company ARX Robotics, which specializes in creating software-controlled ground platforms for military needs. The partnership between ARX Robotics and DEUTZ was concluded last fall.
As part of the collaboration, DEUTZ will be responsible for the powertrains for drones. Currently, it is electric drives, but in the future the companies plan to also use hybrid systems and compact internal combustion engines.
In addition, the partners are working to integrate Mithra OS AI software into new unmanned platforms, which should improve their autonomy and expand their battlefield applications.
