Germany is allocating €60 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund to strengthen the resilience of critical infrastructure. The funds will help accelerate the delivery of generators, energy equipment, and mobile thermal power plants.

This was reported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko.

During a meeting with German Energy Minister Katerina Reiche, the parties discussed Ukraine’s preparations for winter and strengthening energy sustainability.

“At the meeting, we discussed Ukraine’s preparation for winter and strengthening energy sustainability. We agreed to create a joint working group on energy and expand industrial cooperation,” Svyrydenko said.

It is noted that a Ukrainian-German business forum is planned to be held in Berlin in December, which will become a platform for new partnerships between companies from both countries. Yulia Svirydenko thanked Germany for its active position on the use of Russian assets for the benefit of Ukraine.

The Prime Minister also proposed that Germany conclude an intergovernmental agreement to support investors, based on the model implemented by Denmark, the Netherlands, France, and Switzerland.

“Today, macro-financial support is particularly important, and our German partners support any path that will allow these assets to be used to help Ukraine and end the war as soon as possible,” Svyrydenko concluded.

Recall that Germany financed about 30,000 unguided and approximately 3,000 guided 70-mm missiles for Ukraine , which became one of the most notable supplies of Western weapons of this type.

Earlier, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that Ukraine will receive two more modern Patriot air defense systems from Germany . The first launchers have already been transferred to the Ukrainian side, and the full transfer of the two systems is in the final stage.
