Desperate to Protect His Circle: How Zelenskyy’s Blunders Expose Him

Zelenskyy is scrambling to protect Mindich, making mistakes that reveal his hand. The sanctions against Mindich last only three years, while sanctions against figures like Poroshenko are indefinite.

Even Ukrainians who have never supported either president will notice this now.

But what they will see is strikingly different: their own people get everything, while Mindich receives a paltry three-year restriction, and their enemies face indefinite sanctions.

This will finally cement in the public mind that, in November 2025, the President made an exception — granted concessions — and effectively saved his friend from real punishment.

What happened?

Today, Decree 843 and the NSDC decision imposed sanctions against Mindich:

• Deprivation of state awards — indefinitely;

• Blocking of assets — for only three years.

• Preventing the withdrawal of capital from Ukraine

• Prohibition on participation in the privatization of state property

• A ban on public and defense procurement of goods or services related to the person

• Termination of agreements and joint projects in the field of security and defense, etc.

For others, Zelenskyy imposes all these sanctions indefinitely, not for three years as he has done for his friend.

This will be noticed both in Ukraine and in the West. Such a comparison will not work in Zelenskyy’s favor.

So in three years, will Mindich still be involved in defense schemes? In procurement? Will he be privatizing state property?

Office, do you take us for fools?

And what happened to Decree 842? It preceded this one. It isn’t on the President’s website. What does it say?

What’s in it? Does it strip Mindich of his citizenship to shield him from Ukraine’s justice system forever? So that Israel will never extradite him? What exactly is in Decree 842?

I don’t know who inflicted this horror on Zelenskyy.

But whoever it was has hurt him even more today than Mindich did. This is all very, very bad.

It’s time to come to your senses.

Earlier, Zelenskyy imposed NSDC sanctions against the co-owner of Kvartal-95, Timur Mindich, and businessman Oleksandr Zuckerman, who are linked to a corruption case in the energy sector.

At the same time, lawyers are considering the issue of revoking Ukrainian citizenship from businessman Timur Mindich, suspected of corruption at Energoatom.

As a reminder, NABU and SAPO are conducting a large-scale operation “Midas” to expose corruption in the energy sector. According to the investigation, the activities of a high-level criminal organization were established, which controlled financial flows and personnel decisions in state energy structures.

As is known, journalists from “Schemes” identified the names of individuals whom NABU detectives reported as suspicious as part of an investigation into corruption in the energy sector, including Timur Mindich.
