Great Britain will accelerate the transfer of over 5,000 missiles to Ukraine and provide a new aid package
The United Kingdom has decided to accelerate the delivery of more than 5,000 light missiles to Ukraine, worth a total of £1.6 billion. The transfer of these weapons was initially planned to be spread over four years.
This is reported by Politico.
The decision was announced on October 14 during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to London.
The British government has decided to shorten the delivery time of missiles so that Ukraine can receive the necessary weapons more quickly.
In addition, London has prepared another military aid package worth 45 million pounds. It will include anti-aircraft missiles, which are intended to strengthen Ukrainian air defense.
Thus, the United Kingdom plans not only to accelerate the implementation of the previously agreed contract, but also to additionally provide Ukraine with missiles to protect against air attacks.
