Great Britain will allocate 13 billion pounds for weapons for Ukraine

The United Kingdom will provide Ukraine with military assistance worth over 13 billion pounds.

This was stated by Minister of State for the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom Luke Pollard after a meeting of heads of defense agencies in the E5 format (Poland, Great Britain, Germany, France and Italy) in Krakow, Ukrinform reports .

According to Pollard, London will continue to support Ukraine together with NATO partners and the E5 countries. Britain will transfer technology and share combat experience gained during the war.

The minister emphasized that the country has already pledged to allocate more than 13 billion pounds for military support to Ukraine.

The UK has launched mass production of Octopus interceptors to combat Iranian-Russian drones attacking Ukrainian infrastructure.

Pollard also announced the launch of the LEAP initiative, which involves the creation of joint autonomous drones as a cheaper alternative to expensive air defense systems.

He stressed that support for Ukraine remains unchanged on the eve of another anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion. According to him, Moscow has not achieved its goals, and NATO has become stronger and more united.

It was previously reported that South Korea is considering joining NATO’s initiative to purchase American weapons for Ukraine.

As a reminder, Ukraine will receive 2 Mirage 2000 fighters from France as part of military assistance by the end of the first quarter of 2026 (by May 10). The aircraft are to supplement the 3 aircraft transferred earlier, one of which was lost.
