Great Britain will provide Ukraine with an additional 10 billion pounds – Zelensky

The UK will provide Ukraine with another £10 billion in aid. Of this, £7 billion will go to support the economy, and another £3 billion will go mainly to supply weapons.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy after a conversation with British Prime Minister Andy Burnham.

According to Zelensky, Ukraine will receive 7 billion pounds over the next three years. Britain will provide another 3 billion pounds as export support, primarily for the purchase of necessary weapons.

The President clarified that these funds are not included in the annual aid that London already allocates to Ukraine.

Zelensky called the decision timely. He noted that Russia must see that Ukraine will not be left without the support of its partners, and increased assistance should encourage Moscow to end the war.

Separately, Zelensky and Burnham discussed sanctions against Russia. According to the president, Britain will continue to take a principled position on this issue.
