Ground forces are testing jet interceptors: scaling up is expected in a few months.

Unmanned units of the Ukrainian Ground Forces are testing jet-powered interceptor drones. Their large-scale deployment could begin in the coming months.

Andriy Ostapenko, head of the unmanned systems department of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Ground Forces Command, commented on this in a comment to hromadske.

According to him, trials are currently ongoing, and some success has already been achieved.

“We’re testing them. There have been some successes in this area. It’s too early to talk about their widespread use, but we’re developing them,” Ostapenko noted.

He added that the first successful kills using jet interceptors could occur within the next one to two months.

“I believe that in the near future—a month or two—we’ll see successful losses. This will be a relatively large-scale undertaking,” said a Ground Forces representative.
