GUR cyber specialists carried out a large-scale attack on critical infrastructure facilities of the Russian Federation: consequences of the operation

Between June 10 and 12, cyber specialists from the Main Intelligence Directorate carried out attacks on the resources of the Russian tax and customs services, as well as the railway.
This is reported by a number of Ukrainian media outlets, citing sources.
It is noted that as a result of cyberattacks, internal document flow was paralyzed for some time.
Customs confirmed the DDoS attack, but described it as “complicated information exchange with foreign economic activity operators.”
In addition, the leading Russian developer of digital services for accounting and business, Kontur, the national digital marking system, Chestny Znak, and the electronic signature server, GosKlyuch, were under attack.
Hackers attacked the Russian Railways website and mobile service, preventing Russians from purchasing train tickets online. The largest number of complaints came from residents of St. Petersburg, as well as the Tver and Sverdlovsk regions.
The company confirmed the existence of technical failures caused by a large-scale DDoS attack and advised to purchase tickets directly at railway ticket offices.
As a reminder, GUR cyber specialists conducted an operation that paralyzed the work of one of the largest Internet providers in Siberia.
As reported, cyber specialists from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine disabled the website of the Russian railway, carrying out a powerful attack.
