GUR specialists carried out a cyberattack on a provider that provides services to Russian security forces: what is known

Cyber specialists from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine attacked one of the largest providers that provides Internet services for Russian security forces.

This was reported by hromadske, citing an intelligence source.

As noted, the attack affected the Filanko group of companies. Its services are used by more than 20,000 customers, including Beeline, MGTS, 24TV, as well as Russian law enforcement agencies.

According to a source from Ukrainian intelligence, cyber specialists disabled 600 virtual machines, 24 hypervisors, and 3,100 switching equipment devices, including 37 service routers, core routers, and network edge routers.

At the same time, we managed to destroy 800 terabytes of data, 11 physical servers, 74 devices for remote monitoring of data from the data center and 12 terabytes of data from sensors, 5 physical servers in the office and 5 terabytes of data stored on them.

In addition, the intelligence officers “cleaned out” the wallets in the company’s personal account for $1.3 million.

Among other things, GUR specialists published photos of dead occupiers on the main page of a website selling “alarm suitcases” for Russian law enforcement agencies.

Previously, Ukrainian cyber activists, in cooperation with military intelligence, successfully paralyzed the activities of one of the largest Russian drone manufacturers , the company Gaskar Integration.
