GUR thwarted the Russian offensive in Sumy region: 108 occupiers were destroyed, 29 were captured
Fighters of the GROUP 10 unit of the Department of Active Operations of the Military District of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine conducted a special operation in the Sumy region, during which they thwarted the offensive plans of the Russian troops and prevented the cutting of logistical routes.
This was reported by the Department of Active Actions of the State Security Service in Telegram.
According to intelligence, during the operation, special forces killed 108 Russian soldiers and captured 29 more. Ukrainian fighters also hit more than 1,100 targets.
In addition, the military cleared over 600 hectares of forest from Russian forces and handed over the occupied positions to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
The GUR emphasized that the task was accomplished. They promise to release more detailed information about the special operation in the near future.
