Hamas freed the first group of Israeli hostages

The Palestinian group Hamas has freed the first group of Israeli hostages – seven people handed over to representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

The freed hostages will soon return to Israel. The first group includes twins Gali and Ziv Bermani, Matan Angrest, Alon Ohel, Omri Miran, Eitan Mor, and Guy Gilboa-Dallal.
At this time, thousands of people gathered in Tel Aviv to greet their dismissed compatriots.
In total, according to Israeli media, Hamas plans to free 20 hostages today. The remaining 13 will be handed over at 10:00 a.m. local time.

As a reminder, US President Donald Trump announced that Hamas militants are expected to release all hostages by early next week . Following this, the signing of a final agreement in Egypt is scheduled to determine the future of the Gaza Strip.
