After media reports about the alleged “cancellation of military tickets,” the Ministry of Defense clarified that the documents remain valid until replaced. This is only an update of the order that approved the ticket form, while the main format is gradually being transferred to military registration documents.

This was explained by human rights activist Tetyana Donets on the YouTube channel Kadroland.

She emphasized that Order No. 556 of August 19, 2025 does not cancel military tickets, but only changes the previous document. Old tickets are valid until replaced, but after the formation of an electronic military registration document through the Reserve+ application, they lose their validity.

Military ID cards will finally cease to be valid only from June 1, 2026. For now, in some cases, they can still be issued during mobilization, although the law does not contain a direct requirement. Instead, a new format has been introduced for those liable for military service – military registration documents in paper or electronic form.

From May 18, 2024, the current Cabinet Resolution No. 559 determines the procedure for their registration. Documents can be obtained through the Reserve+ application or in the form of a paper form. All old certificates are valid until the moment of replacement.

Once a person creates an electronic military registration document, their old military ID card is no longer valid. However, some CCCs may still request it – for example, for deferment or data reconciliation.

If the new document is lost, you should immediately notify the CCC and the Joint Venture. Otherwise, a fine of 17 to 25.5 thousand hryvnias is possible under Article 210 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has revised the procedure for assigning and paying one-time financial assistance to the families of deceased servicemen. The changes are designed to provide the families of deceased defenders not only with urgent support, but also with stable funding for many years.

Earlier, People’s Deputy Ruslan Gorbenko reported that an important reform is being prepared in Ukraine – the salaries of military personnel in the rear may increase significantly . The authorities are already working on new payment standards that will bring them closer to the level of NATO countries.

The day before, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law on the payment of one-time assistance to relatives of soldiers killed in Russian captivity .
