He beat a girl because her appearance did not match the photo from a dating site: a suspect in a robbery was detained in Kyiv

After a date arranged through a dating site, a 22-year-old man from Kyiv beat up a girl and took her money. Police quickly identified him and detained him.
This is reported by the Kyiv police.
According to the investigation, a 26-year-old resident of the capital met a man online and agreed to come to his place on a date. During the meeting, a conflict arose between them.
The attacker pulled out a gun and, threateningly, began to beat the girl on the head and body. After that, he took 500 hryvnias from her and fled.
Operatives of the Pechersk Police Department, together with criminal analysis analysts, quickly located the attacker. He was detained in the apartment of an acquaintance.
During the search, the police seized an air pistol. The man himself explained his act by saying that the girl “did not look like the photo from the dating site.”
Under the procedural guidance of the Pechersk District Prosecutor’s Office, the detainee was informed of suspicion under Part 4 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – robbery combined with violence dangerous to life and health, committed under martial law.
The court chose a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention with the right to post bail. He faces up to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
By the way, in the capital’s subway, a group of young men attacked a local resident and began beating him.
