The Odessa Regional CCC and the Joint Police commented on the incident in the Podilskyi district, where on August 3, an incident occurred with the participation of servicemen of the district CCC and a child, the circumstances of which are currently being established by law enforcement officers.

The department stated that all the circumstances of the incident are currently being investigated by the competent authorities. The regional CCC assured that it is facilitating the necessary investigative actions and is interested in ensuring that the situation is investigated fully and objectively.

“We emphasize that the safety, life and health of people are an absolute priority. The actions of all participants in the event must receive a proper legal assessment based on the results of establishing all the circumstances,” the statement says.

The CCC also called on the media and the public not to spread unverified information and not to draw premature conclusions before the investigation is complete.

Earlier, the police reported a road accident in the Podilskyi district, where an employee of the district traffic police, who was alerting the population, hit a 2.5-year-old boy and left the scene of the accident. The child was hospitalized. Law enforcement officers are investigating the case under articles on violation of road safety rules and leaving a person in danger.
