Ukrainian security services detained a Russian agent in Sloviansk who was collecting information and delivering aerial bombs.
This was reported by the press service of the SBU.
“The agent turned out to be a 33-year-old local unemployed man. The figure came to the attention of the Russians when he published anti-Ukrainian comments on Telegram channels. After being recruited, the man began collecting coordinates to prepare air attacks on the city,” the SBU reported.
To discover the location of the SOU, the Russian agent patrolled the area. To monitor the direction of movement and the number of armored columns of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he set up an observation post in his own apartment.
He displayed the collected data as markers on Google maps for reporting to the Russians, which he transmitted via anonymous chat.
To avoid responsibility for collaborating with the Russian invaders, the man decided to hide in his own home and paused contacts with the curator.
The SBU documented every step of the enemy accomplice and detained him at his place of residence. Investigators informed the man of suspicion of treason committed under martial law.
The Russian agent is in custody. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
By the way, the SBU detained a Russian agent who was preparing a breakthrough for an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group in the Sumy region.
As a reminder, in the ranks of the Defense Forces , the Security Service exposed a serviceman who worked for Russian special services and shared information about fellow soldiers with the enemy.
As reported, the Security Service of Ukraine exposed and detained an FSB agent who served in the National Guard assault brigade. The operation took place in Kharkiv with the assistance of the Minister of Internal Affairs and the NGU command.
